Couldn't have asked for a better restaurant to visit while stopping by. The ambience is laid-back and inviting, and the service my family & I received was nothing but friendly and understanding of menu tweaks (no cheese on the pasta for this vegan). The manager/owner stopped by our table to make sure we were satisfied and to make pleasant conversation. While my spaghetti marinara wasn't totally memorable, the overall package of Streetside 62 is a lovely restaurant that makes you feel at ease with friends and family.

Drove here from Chillicothe and am very glad we made the trip! Crab Cakes, Cajun Shrimp Pasta, Pasta Carbonara, and Cheesecake were all fantastic! A special thanks to our server Beth for her great service! We will definitely return!!

My friend and I were in town and thought we would try out local restaurants instead of the chains. Streetside 62 has a large patio and a seating area with a fireplace outside. The bar area opens up to that fireplace area with a large garage type door. The temperature outside was in the lower sixties, so sitting outside wasn't an option. One area inside was set up for a large party and the tables remained dirty the whole time we were there. All this combined left limited seating. We waited a little for someone to greet us. There was one couple already waiting. The hostess asked if we would like to be seated in the bar area, but neither couple was interested because of the weather. They seated the other couple first at a small 2 seat table and then we were seated at a large booth. Before I could suggest switching (only far they were there first) they ask to be moved and were given a booth once it was cleared. I ordered ravioli and my friend spaghetti and meatballs. The food was wonderful and the service great. The meat sauce for both dishes was very tasty, with large chunks of beef and was abundant. My friend and I commented earlier that most pasta served in restaurants have barely enough sauce to cover the noodles. There was so much, that we could use the bread to soak up the extra. Bottom line, the food was great, our server was great, but there were issues like the dirty section and being seated that weren't the best.

Took me two years to finally try this place. And, it did not disappoint. The salmon salad is delicious. If I have a complaint, it's that the filet could be bigger. But, I was content when finished. So, it is probably just an optical illusion because the fish is so large. I was there on one of the few nice weather days of 2015, and they had the garage doors open. It was perfect. Only place I wanna eat when I visit Fayette county. Feels like it should be on the Short North, not Washington C.H.

A Sunday lunch visit...experienced a 1.5 hour wait to get food, price too high for the offering and lack of customer service. Suggestion, a restaurant intervention.

Bistro name reflects the uniqueness of their menu. Gourmet pizzas, sandwiches, salads, pastas, steak, salmon etc. This is a place where you will find good mix of people. The pizzas have a good crust. The salmon was cooked perfect. Hand cut French Fries are a delicious. The have outdoor eating and a unique bar area. It's unique because of the roll up doors.

Started with the Brushetta which was very good. I had a very tasty steak and my wife enjoyed the crab cakes. The staff was very pleasant and helpful whenever we needed anything. We'll definitely be back.

Last night we decided to go on a restaurant adventure. This place was an hour drive each way for us, but we had high hopes. We were absolutely NOT disappointed! Location: Very easy to find. Only a couple turns from St. Rt. 35. Great signage, well-lit, easy to access. We were slightly confused about where the "front" door was but quickly found it on the side of the building. Environment: Very laid back, fun, comfortable, and trendy spot. Nice decor and very squishy booth seats. There was outdoor seating, an outer bar area and plenty of indoor tables. There are larger areas for big groups and some corners that would be great for 2. The restaurant was very clean (including the restrooms) and well cared-for. There were a few TVs for sports shows though we didn't pay much attention to them. First Impression: We were greeted immediately. Not only by the welcoming hostess but by one of the owners - Matthew. He made us feel excited about being there. He pointed out his wife (who was also working) and we were quickly sat. Service: Our server quickly came to take our drinks. She was energetic, personable, pleasant and very attentive. I was pleased to see they serve Pepsi products. We especially LOVE the ice. That sounds silly, but as an ice connoisseur, this was important for us! We never had to ask for a refill or extra napkins or anything. Everything was just automatic. It was great. We didn't have a long wait for our food to be delivered. It arrived hot and ready to be devoured. Food: We loved our meals! I ordered the Double BLT with Fries, my daughter ordered the Kids Pizza (and specifically asked for only half with pepperoni), and my husband ordered the Italian Panini with Fries. The fries were bottomless and delicious. We shared 2 desserts - the Chewy Buckeye Brownie and the Chocolate Fudge Cake. I've uploaded a few pics of our meals. They were delicious! Everything was very fresh. Nothing seemed pre-cooked, canned, etc. The pizza dough was incredible. Portions were large. The desserts were really good - very rich. No way could any one person finish off a dessert on their own. We couldn't decide and ordered two desserts. We ended up taking half of each one home. We really had an amazing experience. It was worth the drive. I enjoyed the chat we had with the owner. I'm very happy to support restaurants who support local growing. It truly felt like the food went straight from the farm-to-the-table. We I don't know how often we'll make it over here but we will be back. I hope they do very well. Washington Court House seems to cater to chain restaurant with traditional home cooking. Streetside 62 deserves to be WCH's #1 restaurant. Can't wait to go back!

I am from Roanoke Va where Bistro's are pretty much on every corner, Went Here for lunch yesterday, one thing I love is that Streetside 62 is very child friendly, they have a very good selection, it's a bit like being in a panera bread, Oliver garden and your favorite pizza joint all in one with there own flare added in. I give them a 4 out of 5 due to a waitress admitting when I ordered something they no longer had that the menus were dated. However this was the only down side. Will be going back in a heartbeat.

Ate here today for a birthday dinner. The wait staff and manager were very nice and on top of things. We had a big party including 14 kids! I had the spaghetti and meatballs, it was okay. My husband had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and it was creamy, Rich and cheesy delicious. We also tried the bruschetta, it was good and the fried cheese ravioli, it was very tasty!

The building is fantastic. Either newly built or newly renovated. Had a nice outdoor sitting area with a fireplace. Had a indoor/outdoor bar. The service was also great. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was half and half. I ordered the pork chops. They were seasoned well and tasted great. A little over-cooked, but nothing over the top. Came with a good house salad and two sides. I had broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. Both were decent. My wife ordered a meatball sub and fries. The fries were good, but the sub was cold. Not cold as in made fresh and sat too long. Cold as in had been frozen/refrigerated and not heated back up enough. Not good!! Will try to bring ourselves to eat here again and give it another shot if we can get over the meatball sub.

Great little place. Good beer selection in WCH. The fries were great, fresh cut and not too salty. Meatball sandwich was good but cold as I was on a business call when it arrived, not their fault.

in town for business, great find that isn't the chain places. Had lunch with a co worker. Nice place, casual, neat and clean. The service by Kristoffer was quick and attentive. Never an empty glass! I had the grilled portabella mushroom sandwich and my co worker the pork sandwich. Big portion of fresh cut fries, very good, small portion of very good coleslaw. I was surprised to not see a chicken sandwich on the menu. Lunch was $20 for 2 people. Not bad considering it is heads and tails above the quality of a Wendy's or Bob Evans. Too bad I live in Columbus, or would come back and try something for dinner. I hope the locals support the place!

What a great addition to the culinary choices in our small town. The building itself is simple yet elegant. Despite the presence of several televisions, the atmosphere is quiet and calm. There is a choice of dining inside or outdoors. Casual yet classy. Most places offer limited vegetarian options, but I've already discovered some favorites here. Fettucine Alfredo is rich and flavorful. Pizza is great. Don't know how they're making their dough, but it's perfect. Salads are made with fresh romaine, not bagged salad mix. ( None of that nasty chemical taste!) I highly recommend the house balsamic vinaigrette. I'm not a fan of French fries, but theirs are excellent- hot, not too greasy, with just the right amount of sea salt. Of course there are numerous other options as well. Alcohol is available. Happy hour is available- half price select appetizers and drinks, from 3 or 4 until 7. Call ahead to be sure. I recommend the bruschetta. To conclude your meal, try their awesome homemade cheesecake. Be warned, though. It's very rich. You may want to share! The cheesecake is lovely on its own. I recommend requesting it not be garnished with whipped topping, unless you really love that stuff. The owner is often checking with customers to make sure they're satisfied. That friendly, welcome attitude extends to his staff as well. This restaurant could easily be at home in a much larger city. Aren't we lucky, then, that it's our very own?

We enjoy this wonderful restaurant at least once a week! We have never been dissapointed! The atmosphere is unlike any other place in town and the staff is always very friendly! It is so nice to have something different in town! By far the freshest salads in town also! Keep up the good work !

Despite having 40+ people here for our Christmas party, the service and food were great. All three courses came out promptly and no one ever had to wait for a drink refill. Their fettuccine alfredo was great; the sauce definitely didn't taste like it came out of a can (major bonus points). We will certainly be coming back here for an early dinner and to check out their happy hour as well.

I don't see this place lasting long in a "meat & potatoes" town like WCH; short on selection and high on price for this small community. I had the grilled chicken and garlic pizza, barely a lunch portion for $11. The crust is far underwhelming for a restaurant that claims to have a chef from Italy, and there was an inch of crust around the edge with no toppings. My dining companion had a burger, fries, and slaw. The burger was beyond the bun big, but undercooked per how it was ordered. There was a generous portion of delicious hot fries, but barely three bites of slaw. Granted, this is their first week of operation, but time won't fix an out of place menu with out of this world prices.

I recently moved to Columbus from Cincinnati and a friend and I were looking for somewhere to meet for dinner in between. If you've ever driven the I-71 corridor, there aren't a whole lot of options. We decided on The Willow in Washington Courthouse, but when I pulled in, I knew it wasn't going to be what I wanted. I had some time, so I drove around and came across Streetside 62. I was super excited to score an appetizer for $3 (this would never have happened in Cbus or Cinci) and a glass of Red for $6. Happy Hour is from 3-7PM. I was a bit disappointed that the menu clearly states drinks and appetizers are half off for Happy Hour, but my wine wasn't discounted. In the end, I didn't mention it because my bill was still under $20. I had the bruschetta which had a spicy balsamic drizzle and fresh tomatoes - FANTASTIC. The portion was more than I would have expected for an appetizer, so it was perfect for sharing. I ordered the Hickory Bacon Burger, which was good, although a little stingy on the bacon (only 1 slice), but the homemade BBQ sauce was awesome. I would have appreciated a "to-order" option, as I typically prefer my beef medium-rare, but there was still a little juice and the BBQ sauce made up for it. The fries were perfect, even though I didn't take advantage of the "all you can eat fries" option. We split a slice of Key Lime pie for dinner which was pretty good, although not as good as the bruschetta. The servers were attentive and super friendly. I hope this place is able to stick it through the "meat and potatoes" crowd another reviewer mentioned, because they seem to know what they're doing and I'd much rather meet here than the other restaurants in town. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I were back in my hometown and were pleasantly surprised by this little bistro. Unlike many small town restaurants, Streetside 62 doesn't try to do too much. The menu is small, but filled with quality options. The atmosphere is casual, with a hint of elegance. I hope the residents keep patronizing this place. I look forward to coming back when we're in Ohio again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
